The A38 at Lichfield, Staffordshire had an unusual problem in that over the years continual overlaying of the carriageway surface has raised the finished road level to an unacceptable height in relation to the central verge crash barrier.
The answer was to remove the barrier and install 3 kilometres of new barrier.
Our teams had to work night shifts due to the single lane running required to complete the reinforced concrete foundation required.
The works were completed on time, on budget with minimal disruption.
